Apologies for lack of posting this week. To make up for it:
What I love most about Jonathan's performance - apart from his grasp of rhythm and baton technique - is his glee. Though he's probably been coached by his parents a little, they haven't drilled the joy out of it for him; quite the opposite. The last minute or so is particularly brilliant. From now on, all conductors should fall over the end of a performance and roll around on the floor.
Also, grown-up conductors should feel less inhibited about picking their nose during a performance. That's what's wrong with the classical musical scene.
