Reasonable people enter into debate on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at their peril. Harold Evans writes a piece for the Guardian on the UN Human Rights Council's allegation of Israeli war crimes. He is strongly critical of the report, and of Hamas, and supportive of Israel. Now, whether or not you agree with him, he's a serious fellow with a long record of independent journalism. And his piece makes a reasonable argument, albeit a very contentious one. But according to the long string of deranged and ugly comments that follow, he must be a paid propagandist of the Israeli state.
"deranged and ugly" doesn't sound like a balanced or reasonable comment . . .

Er...have you read the comments I'm referring to?!

I don't understand why people can't state their view without resorting to being thoroughly obnoxious.
Mind, the comments you see on newspaper sites are only the ones that the moderators thought 'reasonable' enough to be allowed. The unmoderated ones are even more terrifying.

sorry, not unmoderated... I meant not approved for publication by the moderator.

The Guardian has been wagin a journalistic jihad against the Jewish people for years. It's just a slicker version of the Sturmer.
