Wee George Osborne's pants will be soaking wet this morning. David Brooks has devoted a whole column to how clever he is.

Brooks likes to use the example of Cameron's Tories as a stick with which to beat the GOP, and it's true that compared to the American right, Cam and Os seem like Disraelite intellectual giants.

But it's always striking how much more coherent Brooks makes them sound than they do themselves.
