I react with a certain degree of scepticism to the claim that several people 'independently' reported that they had consulted the 'Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'.

Perhaps it was one of the books that Palin tried to have removed from Wasilla Library, and some worthy benefactor issued every citizen with a copy in recompense?

Search "narcissistic supply" and "narcissistic personality disorder."
Technically, as per mental health professionals, you cannot diagnose without doing a psychiatric interview. However, the Internet has a very large record of this woman, including video of her interactions.
Combine this body of information, along with comments of adult children of parents with similar dysfunction, and in my opinion...
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, run the h*ll away from it!
