I have a lot of sympathy for Tim Geithner, who is in danger of being blown away by the AIG scandal. I'm sure he hasn't made all the right decisions - but given the awesome complexity and urgency of his responsibilities, and given that it's basically him and twenty empty desks having to deal with them, I can't imagine that anyone else would be doing a whole lot better. Obama is foursquare behind him - so far.
