Dear Mr Obama is a user-generated video that was made in support of John McCain's candidacy. It was watched by a huge amount of people - 13 million in 3 months - which is more than Obama Girl and it has an undeniable power. If you've seen the latter and not the former that may have something to do with the way videos like this tend to circulate, on the web, amongst those who are already receptive to the message they convey.
In a fascinating post, Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody and an expert in socially networked communications, explains why this particular video is so powerful, and a harbinger of things to come.
