who is the real john mccain?

This is a poignant moment. McCain, trying out his new, all-out aggressive approach, asks "Who is the real Barack Obama?". Now, this is a question quite deliberately phrased to echo the viral emails that circulate about Obama, suggesting that he's a Muslim or a Manchurian Candidate sent to destroy the United States. So McCain should hardly look surprised when a member of his enthusiastic audience shouts the answer "TERRORIST!". But he does. I do credit McCain with some integrity and capacity for self-reflection. I wonder if he'll start to reflect on how far down this path he wants to go...
