Bill Clinton, on a reputation-rehabilitating tour of Africa, is not exactly effusive in his praise of Obama, and makes some dark noises:
"Next year, you and I and everybody else will be freer and have more space to say what we believe to be the truth" about the primaries, he said.
(Though read the whole thing for the pretty good advice he offers Obama on his foreign trip).
UPDATE: the most ominous segment of the interview is where Clinton refuses to say that Obama is ready to be president (he answers that question with "you could argue no-one is ready to be president" - well, yes, you could...). It's the mood music that matters as much as the content of what Clinton is saying. He sounds truculent and angry - that will help set the tone for the Clintonite supporters and donors that Obama is struggling (hard enough?) to win round.
