My earlier enthusiasm for Biden as veep is cooling, especially after reading about incidents like this from his past (let alone the Kinnock-copying). He also has a loooong record of votes in the Senate and public statements for the GOP to pick over.
Meanwhile McCain may be settling on Romney. Now there's a "complementary" choice if ever there was one. McCain has built his career on an image of dogged integrity, never pandering, not saying what his audience wants. Romney...well, not so much.
(An aside: leaving the pick this late means some people in the Obama campaign will be VERY busy in the next few days, working with the team of whoever it is to put together a show for the VP candidate at the convention on Wednesday, writing the speech, etc...)
