Reader SW points out that the exit polls in PA underestimated Clinton's margin of victory, suggesting that some voters were telling the pollster they'd voted for Obama having just ticked the Clinton box.
It's a reminder of how much discomfort there is around the subject of race in American politics.
Roger Simon remarks that in a recent poll 8% of Americans said they would be uncomfortable with voting for a black guy for president. 8%! That's just the people who are happy to admit it to a pollster, and to themselves. Should we double that to get the real figure?
