There will be quite a bit of celebrating amongst the colleagues he left behind. All the leaked stories from the Clinton camp emphasised Penn's unpopularity, often with some reference to his unhygienic personal habits.

Incidentally, you can see why he might have thought Obama's 'one America' rhetoric to be a load of bull:
