There will be no revote in Florida. Too many political, logistical and financial hurdles to overcome.
Bad news for the Clinton campaign, who would probably have won a serious amount of delegates and a big boost of momentum from a revote in that state.
They might yet get one in Michigan. But Obama is likely to keep it closer there.
What will the DNC do with the existing Florida delegates (which Clinton won the bulk of, in a no-campaigning contest)? They could follow the rules and disbar them from the convention, and risk voter disaffection in the general. They could seat them 50-50 between the two candidates and face the rage of the Clintons - and it would indeed seem a bit arbitrary. They could award the delegates Clinton won to Clinton, and face the rage of Obama's campaign, who abided by a promise not to campaign in Florida on the understanding this wouldn't happen. Or they could, as has been discussed, award them to Clinton and deem them to represent half a delegate each. A messy-sounding compromise but perhaps the only answer just about acceptable to all sides. It would result in a Clinton gain of 19 delegates.
