After wavering, I've had my Biden-backing backbone stiffened by the excellent David Brooks. Brooks, quite rightly, focuses the bigger picture rather than tactical niceties, particularly on how Biden would help Obama govern, which too often gets lost in all the clever campaign talk.
One tactical point I will make though - if McCain is picking Romney, as looks likely, that makes Biden look even better. Biden is working class, emotional, and open, even (especially) when he's saying dumb things. Romney is the son of privilege, famously rich, owns at least as many houses as John McCain, and comes across as shifty and calculating.
