Andrew Sullivan quotes approvingly from David Cameron's speech in Glasgow and notes the the parallels between Cameron and Barack Obama (a comparison I suggest Cameron shouldn't get too carried away with here).
One paragraph from Cameron's speech - one word in fact - caught my eye:
Changing our culture is not easy or quick. You cannot pull a lever. You cannot do it top-down. But you can give a lead. You can give a nudge. You can make a difference if you are clear where you stand.
The word is 'nudge'. It's clearly a reference to the Tory leader's latest reading material; Cameron and friends have been much impressed by a new book called Nudge, which examines people's everyday decision-making processes.
Nudge is co-authored by Cass Sunstein, ex-colleague and close friend of...Barack Obama.
